I made this page for all of you Game of Thrones fans. If you join one of my Free** Tours (Valletta, Mdina, the 3 Cities) and give me a tip that would make a huge difference. Just go to the main page to learn more about my tours. Otherwise, enjoy.
Table of Contents
☝ Approximate location.
By the way, this arch doesn't exist anymore. It fell into the sea during a storm. Such is life.
Not accessible to the public except during special events.
In the above image: a juxtaposition of the "Azure Window" in the upper half and "Verdala Palace" in the lower half. Two very different locations.
☝ A very approximate location.
I think they're in the ditch of Victoria Lines. An oft recommended countryside walk.
You cannot enter, but you can usually see the gate from outside.
This section is innaccessible to the public. But you can walk in the Gardens very close by.
I'm not super sure for this episode, but I believe it's in San Anton Gardens..
Don't ask me what's going on here as I've forgotten.
Lots of tension, but no idea what's happening. Same innaccessible spot.
Have to promote my highly-rated, 2 hour, pay-what-you-want Mdina tour. Please join and pay me a tip at the end. (Yes shameless promotion, but this page is free.)
Most of the shots center either before or after entering Mdina gate.
The next 3 shots are shot in Mesquita Square.
Next 2 shots are back at Mdina gate.
Ned Stark gets arrested! Ooooh spoilers! Shot in Mesquita Square.
Have to pay to enter the Dominican Priory.
Cannot give an exact location, but somewhere along the West Coast.
Also lots of CGI to replace the sea with desert.
Have to promote my highly-rated, 2 hour, pay-what-you-want Valletta tour. Please join and pay me a tip at the end. (Yes shameless promotion, but this page is free.) (And I don't mind repeating myself either apparently.)
Otherwise all the shots of Valletta were captured in: Eagle Street, Valletta.
Arya is escaping or something. Pretty sure.
The piegons are local.
Surely a Maltese actor here.
Found on Manoel Island, Fort Manoel is closed to the general public. But you can walk around the island and see the fort from outside.
The upper part of the above shot has been added later. Doesn't even look like Malta.
I don't know where the following locations are shot.
If I had to guess, the The Dominican Priory in Rabat, but could be almost any church bell in Malta.
Could be a juxtaposition shot, with the lower half: a palace/home, upper half: countryside.
No clue(s).
The two below, in some fort, possibly Fort Ricasoli.
The next 3: could be anywhere on Malta's coast line. The castle is CGI.
Next 2: no idea.
Next 5: no idea. Possibly Verdala Palace.
The first 2: in some palace somewhere.
The following, somewhere in the Maltese countryside.
Not sure, but if I had to guess, I'd say Fort Ricasoli.
That's all I've got.
