Shortcuts

Logistics

Length: 2 hours.

Price: Pay what you want. (€12 per person is a good rule of thumb) If you pay more, it is much appreciated 🙏

The tour is solely conducted in English 🇬🇧.

I don't usually allow groups greater than 5. Sometimes I make exceptions (for families for example). If you're booking for more than 5 people, please reply back to the booking email explaining your situation. If the group is very large, please read and follow my conditions for larger groups.

Meeting Location

Please meet me inside the Upper Barrakka Gardens. Walk through the Green Wooden Gate of the Upper Barrakka Gardens; and walk straight ahead. Keep walking straight ahead, past the fountain on your right. After you pass through the first arch, there will be a large stone urn on your left. The large stone urn will be dedicated to Sir Thomas Fremantle.

Please ask for "Ben" and not the "Free Tour" 😊

Itinerary / Route

I might adjust the itinerary according to my judgement and due to external factors beyond my control 😊

Book the Tour

If some dates in the future are not available it's because I generally make booking available the month before - to avoid unnecessary cancellations (which are rare).

Before the Tour

St John's co-Cathedral

I strongly recommend you visit St John's co-Cathedral before the tour. I believe it's the #1 site of Valletta, if not all of Malta

Entrance is €15, €12 for students or over 60 years of age.

You can buy tickets here (which allows you to skip the queue): https://www.stjohnscocathedral.com/buy-tickets/

An audio guide is included. And I would recommend you leave at least 1 or 1.5 hours for the visit.

It's open Monday to Saturday 09:00 to 16:15.

On Sunday it's only open as a church at specific times. The times can be found here: https://www.quddies.com.mt/churches/361/San-Gwann/Valletta

Check out my Food & Drink recommendations

I've compiled, and continually update, a list of Food & Drink recommendations, which can be visited here: Valletta Food & Drink recommendations.
